20:44kingofhellIf I wanted to compile some c code to webassembly and call into web apis such as websockets, would there be something I need to link with? I know it's possible to go the other way and use webassembly modules from JavaScript.
20:50ErikRosekingofhell: As far as I understand it, you have to drop back into JS to talk to the DOM and other web APIs.
20:50ErikRoseFor the moment.
20:51ErikRoseAnnnnd too late

20:56kingofhellAre the _asm_ _volatile_ tags supported in emscripten/llvm wasm backends? In that case I assume we could inject wasm imports from there and do the calls from the c source. We'd have to rely on the prevailing calling convention. But should work right?
20:58ErikRoseBoy, IHNI. There might be a better channel to ask.
20:58ErikRoseThere is an #emscripten channel with 72 members.
20:58ErikRoseAnd failing all else, there's irc://irc.w3.org:6667/#webassembly
20:59kingofhellAwesome gonna try. Thanks I didn't know about those
20:59ErikRosekingofhell: Aha, also #asm.js.
20:59ErikRoseThat's probably where those people hang out.
21:00kingofhellEmscripten sounds like a good bet I think they are headlong into webassembly right now
21:00kingofhellWill try
21:00ErikRoseGood luck!
21:00kingofhellThx
